Always been a big fan of Jack Brown’s here in Tuscaloosa. I had the Classic Jack and the Shocker with an Angry Orchard and Naked Pig Pale Ale. The Classic Jack is simple, straightforward, and an easy can’t-go-wrong burger. The Shocker definitely came with some heat considering its fresh habanero peppers. Been here many times and will continue to come give Jack Brown’s service here in Tuscaloosa.

Jack Brown’s was a perfect spot to end our Tide and Tables tour this school year. I tried two burgers, the Cobra Kai and the Cowboy. Both were great. Watch out for the Cobra Kai, though, because I’m telling you, it’s spicy. The Cowboy was nice and easy, as the bacon was perfect with the BBQ sauce. But really what makes JB’s stand out is its atmosphere. Open til 2AM most nights and with a great outdoor eating area, this element is the real selling point. Pull up to Jack Brown’s for some great burgers, a 100-beer log tracker, and some enjoyable vibes on a nice spring day.

I got to eat half of the Shocker burger and half of the Classic Jack. The Shocker burger was no joke, it was spicy but delicious. I did not realize how spicy it was, and it surprised me, but I loved the crunch of the jalapeños. The Classic Jack was also a great burger. I really enjoyed the sauce and the onions on it to tie it all together. All of the other burgers look awesome. Great experience at Jack Brown’s!!

I had the Dr. Gonzo and the Cowboy. Both were simple but great. The Dr. Gonzo was nice and savory because of the mushrooms and Swiss, and the mushrooms add a nice texture. The Cowboy had a nice combination of sweet and savory. Also, the extensive beer collection helped to wash the burgers down.

I had the Greg Brady and then Chiflet. I’ve had the Greg Brady before, and it’s definitely still my go-to, but the Chiflet was also very good. The atmosphere was awesome today because we got to sit outside, and it was pretty weather with a breeze. I got a water, so I can’t currently attest to the drink side, but I know they have a very large drink menu. Roll Tide and Tables!

My favorite burger was the Dr. Gonzo. I’m a huge fan of mushrooms and onions, and this burger had that. Overall, a great time and meal.

Kobra Kai kinda ate—pleasantly surprised. Tried it on a whim, and the sweet and spicy slapped. Also, Greg Brady—classic. The crunch of the chips and the mac and cheese is a great combo. Upset my Shiflet egg wasn’t runny, but it’s ok. Sweet potato fries were also really good, and their sauce is so good. Love Jack Brown’s—so fun.

Thomas ArendallAfter traveling to Jack Brown’s on many different occasions, I can confidently say the overall atmosphere and quick service provide an exceptional dining experience. While most restaurants are capable of featuring only one signature burger, Jack Brown’s offers several niche burger combos to satisfy those taste buds. Go ahead and slam a side of sweet potato fries while you’re there and wash it all down with a long list of beer selections any customer of JB’s gets to choose from. Overall, the best burger and beer joint you’ll find this side of Alabama.
